Beka Romm specializes in the creation and execution of public affairs, advocacy campaigns and targeted communication efforts. Her expansive networks include strong relationships throughout the state with Kansas media outlets, legislators, elected officials, business executives, opinion leaders, and community voices.
Prior to joining Hickam Public Affairs, Romm served as executive director of the Kansas and Missouri offices of American Majority, a national nonprofit, nonpartisan political organization. Her work included training candidates for local, state and federal office, acting as a spokesperson with local, state and national media, fundraising through events and direct mail, and conducting training sessions with large, diverse grassroots groups throughout the United States. In her time at American Majority, Romm personally trained more than 3,500 individuals in 20 states – many of whom currently serve in elected office throughout the state of Kansas.
Before her time at American Majority, Romm directed student programming and outreach at the Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics, a bi-partisan political education institute encouraging participation and leadership in the political process. Romm was responsible for coordinating programming and promotion of events, overseeing the Senior Fellowship program, and engaging in ongoing community and campus outreach and communications.
Romm lives in Lawrence, Kansas with her husband and three children.
